While the movie has a positive message, it's also SOOOO depressing at the same time. There were some funny moments, but I wouldn't really call this a comedy.

Extremely hilarious, offensive, hilarious, shocking, hilarious, & kinda scary. They said middle America wouldn't get the jokes. Hell - we ARE the jokes!!

The Queen

Extremely good film. Interesting viewpoint of a story so well-known. Mirren & Sheen are fantastic as Elizabeth II & Tony Blair. I very highly recommend this film!

Stranger Than Fiction

Will Ferrell's "Truman Show." More serious and profound (and a little depressing) than I expected. Hoffman is really funny. I didn't buy Gyllenhaal's transition from hate to love, though. It happened too suddenly

Babel

Like Inarritu's other films, this has separate stories that eventually come together in tragedy. Give Rinko Kikuchi the Oscar - she is magnificent!!

Casino Royale

I can't believe I'm giving a Bond movie 5 stars!! I might just be awed by Daniel Craig's wet bathing suit though(yummy)!! James Bond portrayed as a human being - what an interesting concept...!

The Fountain

Visually beautiful, emotionally stunning. Storyline is not linear, and at the end of the movie still won't make much sense. If you like Aronofsky's other movies, you already know that he directs like he's on an acid trip. Just sit back, relax, and let the movie take you along for the ride.

Clerks 2

I'll never be able to look a donkey in the face again. Has laugh-out-loud moments, gross-out moments, & aww-shucks moments. Drags a little in the middle, but overall a VERY funny movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Fun, but nowhere as good as the first movie. Lots of special effects, not much story. Needed lots more Johnny Depp!!

The Holiday

Started out kind of slow, but really picked up as it went along. Eli Wallach steals every scene he's in. The cast was enjoyable to watch and Jack Black wasn't too annoying, which was a nice surprise.

Little Miss Sunshine

What can I say about a dysfunctional family's road trip from hell? Only that it's one of the funniest and touching movies I've seen in a long time!! "Super Freaky!!" I couldn't stop giggling everytime the VW Van's horn went off. So darkly funny.
